New York New Jersey Stadium is the FIFA World Cup 2026 name for MetLife Stadium, home to every New Jersey match including the Final between Argentina and Spain on July 19.
MetLife Stadium sits in the Meadowlands Sports Complex in East Rutherford. The rail connection is the Meadowlands Rail Line, which runs from Secaucus Junction to the Meadowlands station next to the stadium on game and event days only, so there is no regular daily train.
From Manhattan the usual path is a train to Secaucus Junction, then the Meadowlands shuttle train when it is running for an event. NJ Transit also runs game-day buses from Port Authority Bus Terminal for many events. Always check NJ Transit for the specific event service before you travel.

World Cup matchdays follow a special plan that differs from regular Meadowlands events. Here are the essentials, per NJ Transit.
Ticketed rail only
Matchday trains to the stadium are for FIFA World Cup ticketholders with a valid NJ Transit rail ticket to the stadium. Tickets are capped at 40,000 per matchday and sold only in advance in the NJ Transit mobile app, never at stations or on board.
From New York
Travel from New York Penn Station, NJ Transit's main Manhattan hub. Your ticket shows a boarding zone (A at 32nd St & 6th Ave, B at 33rd St & 7th Ave); arrive in your time slot, and you'll get a matchday wristband to keep on for the ride home.
Everyone connects at Secaucus or Hoboken
All matchday service runs through Secaucus Junction or Hoboken Terminal. Trains on the Main, Bergen, Pascack Valley and Port Jervis lines route to Hoboken (zone HOB, near Track 18); every other line connects at Secaucus.
Timing
Service to the stadium starts about four hours before kickoff. After the match, trains and buses run frequently for about three hours; your wristband is valid on either. No wristband, no ride.

The Meadowlands Rail Line runs to the stadium on event days only. On non-event days the live trips below may show no direct train. Always confirm event service with NJ Transit before you travel.

Take any NJ Transit train to Secaucus Junction and transfer to the Meadowlands Rail Line, which runs direct to the Meadowlands station beside the stadium. The shuttle runs on game and event days only.
